University of Kentucky

• The University of Kentucky offers both undergraduate and graduate degrees in archeology through their Anthropology Department. Their undergraduate program is designed to give students a broad overview of three subdisciplines of anthropology: cultural anthropology, physical anthropology and archaeology. Students are encouraged to pursue a specific area of interest. The graduate program provides training in three areas: anthropological archaeology, biocultural anthropology and cultural anthropology, as well as a cross-disciplinary program in medical anthropology.

Western Kentucky University

• Students at WKU can pursue a degree in archeology through the Department of Folk Studies and Anthropology. Students major in anthropology with a minor in at least one of four concentrations: Cultural Anthropology, Biological Anthropology, Archaeology, and/or Cultural Resource Management. • Students who wish to study archeology at Northern Kentucky University have a choice of two undergraduate degree options--a Bachelor of Science or a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology, both with a concentration in Archeology.
