The University of Central Florida is located in east Orlando. UCF offers a fully accredited RN to BSN program for graduates of a state community college associate's degree nursing program. The program is also offered online and will lead to a bachelor's degree in nursing. Some of the classes you can expect to take include essentials of nursing practice, nursing care of the adult, public health nursing and health assessment. Some of the classes will require you to participate in lab sessions. There also will be a practicum during the course of the program. It will take about two years to complete this program.

Keiser University is located near downtown Orlando. Keiser offers an accredited RN to BSN program that, according to Keiser's website, provides registered nurses with a better perspective of the cultural, political, economic and social issues that is currently impacting patients and health care. Some of the classes you will take during this program include physical assessment in health care, nursing research, ethical and legal aspects of nursing practice, community nursing and nursing leadership and management. You also will be required to complete a few upper-level general education classes and a practicum. Completion of this program will earn you a bachelor's degree in nursing and it will take about two years to graduate.

Herzing University is located in north Orlando in the suburb of Winter Park. Herzing offers a fully accredited RN to BSN program that will lead to a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing. The program is six semesters in length and is for registered nurses who have an associate's degree in nursing. Some of the classes you will take include professional role transition, legal and ethical issues in nursing, conceptual models of nursing practice, community nursing, nursing informatics and evidenced-based nursing practice. Some of the classes are available to take online. The program also will require the completion of general education courses and a practicum. It will take about two years to complete the program.
