Anesthesiology residents at the University of Texas Medical School at Houston are trained in physiology, pharmacology and biochemistry, and have the opportunity to participate in clinical experiences and laboratory research. Clinical experience is gained at facilities including the Texas Heart Institute and Texas Children's Hospital. Specialty anesthesiology training is available in internal medicine and pediatrics.
