Northeast Texas Community College, situated on 375 acres, has a variety of programs you can complete in two or fewer years. Its course offerings include liberal arts, business, communications, health care and information technology. The college also has a "two and two" program where you can begin your bachelor's in education or business at the community college and finish it at Texas A&M University. Tarrant County College is a two-year community college that grants technical and associate degrees. With five campuses in the Fort Worth area, it is the sixth largest of the state's post-high school institutions. Tarant offers programs in the arts and sciences, business, public safety, technology, education, health and transportation technology. You must submit a completed application and other information based on your student status. Status categories include new, transfer or returning students, early high school admissions and non-citizen or international students.

Austin Community College serves eight counties in the Austin area through its several campuses and centers. All campuses offer day, evening or weekend classes, as well as online distance classes, for full-time and part-time students. Programs lead to degrees or diplomas in art, biology, business administration, English and journalism, marketing, surgical technology, and travel and tourism. High school graduates and those with GEDs, as well as non-graduates, may apply. Non-graduates must either be 18 years old and demonstrate the ability to do college-level work, or high school students 16 or older who successfully complete their sophomore year.
