Chaffey College offers students certificates in accounting, art and digital media, art and visual communications, illustration, administration of justice, automotive master technician, automotive collision repair technology, aeronautics, biology, business and office technologies, business administration, business, paralegal, and broadcasting and cinema. Some programs have subcategories or areas of focus for students to get a more career-specific education. The aeronautics certificate has two areas of focus: airframe and power plant. Accounting students can focus on accounting paraprofessional, financial planning, payroll and income tax preparation, or government and non-profit organizations. Art and digital media offers subcategories in computer graphic design for print, web design, and multimedia design. The automotive technology certificate offers six subcategories; business administration has two, and business and office technologies has nine areas of focus.
Chaffey offers occupational and vocational certificates in correctional science, consumer studies, computer information systems, culinary arts, dental assistant, drafting technician, dietetic service supervisor and education paraprofessional. Students interested in the drafting technician certificate can focus on either architectural or mechanical drafting. The computer information systems certificate offers 21 areas of focus. They include computer game development, website development, internet programming, visual basic programming, computer foundations and more.
Students can earn Chaffey College certificates in fashion merchandising, fashion design, fire technology (professional firefighter), gerontology with a focus on community caregiving, geographic information systems, hotel and food service management, interior design and industrial electricity technology, and journalism. Students pursuing a fashion design certificate can focus on costume design, industrial sewing, custom dressmaking and apparel patternmaking. The hotel and food service management program allows students to choose between four subcategories. Industrial electricity technology is split into five subcategories of industrial electrical technology, electromechanical technology, instrumentation technology, fiber optic cabling technician and network cabling technician.
Chaffey students can earn certificates in management, commercial music, nutrition and food, nursing assistant and vocational nursing, still photography, pharmacy technician, physical education with a focus on coaching, real estate with a focus on sales, and radiologic technology. Nursing assistant students can choose to focus on assisting as a home health aide or acute care technician. The management certificate is split into three categories that include retail management, supervision and logistics management.
