Community College Study Abroad Programs

Various community colleges offer study abroad programs for their students. Study abroad programs can enhance student education by providing experiential learning and cultural experience. Study abroad programs are sometimes offered in conjunction with various degree programs in areas like the arts and sciences or studies in foreign languages. The University of Maryland points out that studies abroad not only enhance the educational experience of students but also prepare them for working in an increasingly multicultural world.
