Coast Community College District in California consists of three different community college systems: Coastline Community College, Golden West College and Orange Coast College. Courses of study offered by the college district provide students with an opportunity to gain credit while studying outside the United States. As of the 2010-2011 academic school year, the average cost for the study abroad programs was about $3,500; however, no financial aid is available for these programs. The colleges offer opportunities to study in London, Madrid, Costa Rica and Paris.

The study abroad program at Salt Lake Community College (SLCC) in Utah gives students the opportunity to study in one of four locations. Studies in Shanghai, China, last for three weeks and immerse students in Chinese language and cultural studies. The trip culminates with a three-day cultural experience in Beijing. The trip to London provides students with an experience of both past and present culture in England by visiting sites like Stonehenge, Buckingham Palace and a Shakespearean theater. A third study abroad trip takes students to Osaka, Japan, for a series of cultural experiences, while a fourth trip to Vietnam gives students the opportunity to make a difference serving as part of a medical mission.

Tulsa Community College (TCC) in Oklahoma features study abroad programs as part of its ongoing initiative in global education. The school has an ongoing partnership with Oklahoma State University (OSU) by which students can submit one application to TCC and OSU and then attend classes at any one of six campus locations. Students eventually graduate from their bachelor's degree program with a degree from OSU. The marriage of these two schools presents students with numerous opportunities to study abroad. Students can receive college credit for their courses abroad, and financial aid is available for these programs as well. Studies currently take students to China, Nicaragua, Italy, Spain, England, Ireland, Wales, China, Japan and various European nations like Germany and Switzerland.
