At Diablo Valley College in Northern California, students can take advantage of the opportunity to study in London in a one-semester program. Students must be at least 18 years old and have earned at least 12 units of college credit to be accepted into the program. Undergraduates will enjoy classes in English literature, studio art and British culture among many others to choose from. Students may choose to live in a home environment during this semester or select a slightly more expensive option with apartment living in London. Financial aid is available as well as scholarship opportunities. The units earned while in London will transfer to most public California universities.

Pasadena City College in Pasadena, California, offers a range of choices for studying abroad. With travel to Italy, Germany, Switzerland, Peru and Oxford, it is up to the student to choose which place and for how long; some for one semester while others are summer options only. With the Florence Italy, choice, students live in furnished apartments with up to seven other students. In addition to classes in Italian language and history, students will benefit from travel to Rome for three days, with concentrated study of Roman and Christian civilizations. During this semester, there is a one-day trip to the Renaissance hill towns of San Gimignano and Siena, towns that have barely changed since the 15th century. Weekends are free for extended travel throughout Europe's cities, and students may choose to extend their stay once the semester is over.

Students at Bellevue Community College in Washington may take advantage of a study abroad program and earn a full quarter's worth of credits while living with British families and experience everyday life in England. Students will attend classes at the University of London in Bloomsbury, just walking distance to Oxford Street, Soho and Covent Garden. Classes are taught on British culture, writing, journalism and literature. Weekends are free to travel to other European cities, including Amsterdam and Paris. Travel passes, 24-hour emergency access and membership to the University of London Union are available for all participants. In addition to class time, students will enjoy day trips to Stonehenge, Bath, Oxford and Stratford upon Avon, and may even take time to catch a rugby match or a theater event.
