Tarrant County College offers a “fast track option” within their two-year associate degree in nursing. It is designed for LPNs or certified paramedics who wish to upgrade their credentials. These students are eligible to take examinations that grant them credits in order to decrease the duration of their program of study from 24 to 15 months. Three courses can be attained through this method: nursing practice foundations, clinical foundations and nursing skills. Coursework is delivered online through video-conferencing and multimedia materials.
