Architectural Drafting & Design Engineering Schools

Architectural drafting and design programs are normally offered through diploma, certificate and associate degree programs at two-year technical and community colleges. Schools teach students sketching, computer aided drafting and other pertinent skills for careers in architectural, mechanical and engineering design fields. While graduates can pursue entry-level positions as architectural drafts persons or computer aided drafts persons, a Bachelor of Science degree is often required for advancement in the field. Many of these two-year programs in drafting allow students to transfer credits to nearby universities to continue studying in architecture or engineering baccalaureate programs.
