Electromechanical Engineering Schools

Electromechanical engineers deal with both the electrical and mechanical worlds, bringing both together to design, develop and support machinery. Becoming an electromechanical engineer requires specialized education and training on electronics and equipment; a variety of schools across the country offer introductory training programs through associate's degrees and longer, traditional four-year bachelor's degree programs in electromechanical engineering.
  1. Alfred State College

    • Alfred State College, in New York, offers an associate's degree in electromechanical engineering technology. The two-year program combines laboratory work with classes, such as digital logic, CAD, electronic fabrication, circuit theory, robotics, electromechanical analysis, embedded controller fundamentals, electromechanical controls and technical calculus, plus general courses such as physical education and college algebra. Alfred State College also offers a bachelor's of science in electromechanical engineering. Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED. Students applying to the bachelor's program must also submit SAT or ACT scores.
