How do I Divide a Citation Into Parts for APA Format?

It is critical that you cite your sources, both to avoid charges of plagiarism and to help your readers easily find the source of your information. However, it is just as important that sources be cited correctly. Writers may find themselves using American Psychological Association format when writing for a journal or class within the social sciences. Proper citation in APA format depends upon the type of source being cited.
