Create the greeting you want in the card on your computer. Add the font, color and style that you want to the text. Make certain that the font is not too large that it will not fit on the card you will be printing.
Place the shaped paper into the printer in the way indicated by either an instructional drawing on the printer or the word processing program you are using. Click "Print" from the computer program and watch the card go through the printer. Look at the finished product to see if the card came out the way you want it to.
Print out the card first. Then shape the card afterward by using scissors or paper edge cutters from an office supply store. If using scissors, make certain that the pattern you are making with the card is clean and uniform. Whatever pattern you make on one side of the card, make on the other side as well. Additionally, you want to attach other things to the card after printing, such as ribbon, a sign or candy. Take the ribbon, sign or other item and carefully place all-purpose glue on the back of it. Gently press it on to the card in the appropriate place. Fold the card over so that the crease is in the middle of the card. Stand up or place the card on an envelope.
