Instructions

  1. Months

    • 1

Write the name of each month on a separate card stock sheet of paper. Choose card stock sheets that measure about eight inches in length and four inches in width. Use 12 pieces of paper for this and a black marker.

    • 2

Place a stencil on the "January" flash card. Make the stencil a snowflake, a snowman or something else related to the month. Fill in the stencil with assorted colors.

    • 3

Repeat Step 2 with the other flashcards and stencils. Involve your students or children in this craft.

    Vocabulary

    • 4

Write a word from your class's vocabulary lesson on a strip of card stock. Space it apart in syllables via your dictionary.

    • 5

Color the bullets that separate the syllables of the word with bright colored markers.

    • 6

Color an outline around the word of any color you decide. Make the color match your classroom, or have it match the word. For example, the word "green" would have a green outline, and "red" would have a red one.

    • 7

Repeat Steps 1 through 3 with different words in your vocabulary lesson.
