Nigerian Secondary Schools

Located in the western region of Africa, Nigeria is striving to develop a growing educational system after the heavy colonial and military rule influences.

Nigeria's secondary school education system is divided into three years of junior secondary school for grades seven to nine and three years of senior secondary school for grades nine to 12.

Students must pass the Junior Secondary School Examination (JSS3 exam) to attend the senior secondary school, and they need to graduate from the senior secondary school with a Senior School Certificate (SSC) to be placed in further higher education studies.
