Visit the Chippewa Valley Technical College Learning Center and enroll in GED training. You will be required to complete a reading test in order to determine your reading level.
Complete the GED pre-test to ensure that you are ready to complete the actual GED exam. Chippewa Valley Technical College offers free GED preparation courses. The length of the preparation course will vary from person to person as it is based on your skill level at the time of enrollment. The pre-test determines your educational level and assists the Chippewa GED instructor in designing a preparation course to suit your needs. GED prep courses are computer based and can be completed at your own pace.
Complete the required career assessment and register for the GED exam. You must register for the GED exam by noon two days prior to the exam. As of April 2011 the fee for the GED exam at the college is $15 per exam. There are five individual GED exams and the total for taking the full battery of exams is $75. There is an additional $15 processing fee due when you complete your final exam. The exam fee must be paid to the college cashier in advance and your receipt must be brought with you on your exam date.
