Louisiana Vocational Schools

In addition to its four-year traditional colleges like Louisiana State University, Louisiana Tech and Tulane University, Louisiana is home to a number of vocational schools. Consisting of both private and public post-secondary institutions, these career colleges grant certificates, diplomas and associate degrees that prepare students to work in industries like health care and computer science. Louisiana's vocational schools combine classroom-based instruction and hands-on training as teaching methods to give students practical skills in their chosen fields.
