Skyline College (formerly known as ECPI Technical College) has three campus locations in Virginia, including Richmond, Roanoke and Innsbrook. Skyline College groups its programs into three broad segments--technology, medical and business. Students in the technology program can pursue careers in electronics engineering, management information systems and network security. The medical department offers education in practical nursing and medical assisting.
Skyline offers students the opportunity to pursue associate's degrees, that take 1.5 years to complete, and bachelor's degrees, that require 2.5 years. Skyline provides career placement assistance for graduates.

Miller-Motte Technical College is a multi-campus career institute covering much of the South, including a campus at Lynchburg. The Miller-Motte campus in Lynchburg has provided students in Virginia with career education since 1929. Programs on the Lynchburg campus include career training in fields such as criminal justice, medical assisting, massage therapy, surgical technology, health care assisting and medical laboratory technology.
The college includes a career services department that helps students find placement in their field upon graduation.

Patrick Henry Community College in Martinsville, VA hosts a variety of vocational training programs. These programs run the gamut from associate of applied science courses to career studies certificates.
