Southern Illinois Vocational Technical Schools

For some students, the typical experience of attending a four-year college is not suitable. Those interested in practicing a trade, such as automotive repair, aviation or medical technician, may prefer attending a trade or vocational school. Unlike a liberal arts college, a trade school provides skills training, so students are able to begin performing a particular job immediately upon graduation. For individuals living in southern Illinois, there are many vocational schools available, offering training for a variety of careers.

    • Illinois Eastern Community College has campuses throughout southern Illinois in Frontier, Lincoln Trail, Olney and Wabash Valley.
