    • Hinds Community College provides career training at six campuses in the state, including locations at Raymond, Utica, Vicksburg and Rankin. Vocational trade programs at the college include practical nursing, radiologic technology, culinary arts, drafting, electronics and machine tooling. Student life at Hinds includes extracurricular activities such as student government, athletics, cheerleading, choir, honors societies and a chapter of the Vocational-Technical Clubs of America.

    Copiah-Lincoln Community College

    • Copiah-Lincoln Community College dedicates an entire department to career and technical education. Students at CLCC can pursue professional certificates and associate degrees in one of 26 different courses including welding, drafting, automotive technology, commercial trucking, practical nursing and machine tool technology. Copiah-Lincoln offers intramural sports as well as a variety of student organizations and clubs including artistic, religious, vocational, athletic, honors and community-based organizations.

    ITT Technical Institute

    • ITT Technical Institute is a multi-campus technical training college with locations throughout the United States. For residents of Mississippi, ITT Technical Institute has a location in the greater Jackson area. Courses at ITT Technical Institute in Mississippi include information technology, design and drafting, electronics and criminal justice. Students at ITT can pursue both bachelor and associate of applied science degrees in their selected trade.     Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College

    • Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College has so many vocational trade programs that it separates them into two distinct departments. The career programs component of the school includes courses in more blue-collar-type trades such as automotive technology, commercial truck driving, drafting, electrical technology, machine tooling, plumbing and pipefitting. Alternately, the technical programs section of the school includes several computer-based education career training programs as well as courses in fashion design, electronics and graphic design. The school has campuses in several counties of Mississippi, including Perkinson, Jackson, Jefferson and George.

    Delta Technical College

    • Delta Technical College has several campuses in the South, including one in Mississippi. Most students at Delta Technical College can complete their career training in less than a year and some programs can be completed in as little as seven months. The college offers training in such fields as welding, HVAC, dental assisting, medical assisting, medical coding and cosmetology. Students can apply for financial aid and the college offers help in the way of career placement after graduation.
