    Montcalm Community College

    • Montcalm Community College has many vocational and technical options available. Courses include automotive technology, construction, electronics, industrial technology, and technical drafting and design. The college also offers apprenticeship training that includes courses in tool and die manufacture, welding, technical drawing, CNC operation, safety, and communication.

    Recording Institute of Detroit

    • The Recording Institute of Detroit offers training for the student who would like to get involved in the technical side of making music. Courses in sound engineering and music production last from two weeks to nine months. The Recording Institute of Detroit also offers an internship program that takes between one and six months to complete. Class sizes are kept small (student-teacher ratio averages 10 to one).

    • The GM Service Technical College concentrates on the modern automotive technology trade and is sponsored by General Motors.
