Vocational Nursing Schools in Illinois

Licensed vocational/practical nursing (LVN/LPN) is an attractive career option, whether you are just starting your work life or thinking about a career switch. Vocational nursing programs take less time than registered nursing--usually one year as opposed to two or four--yet the credits can often be transferred if you decide to get a Registered Nurse (RN) license. Illinois is a choice location to pursue a vocational nursing career. Not only does Illinois have several LVN programs, the state has a severe nursing shortage. The state will be short 21,000 nurses by 2020, according to the Illinois Center for Nursing.
