    • Mercy College in Toledo, Ohio is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission, the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, the National League for Nursing Accreditation and the Ohio Board of Nursing. Mercy College offers various nursing education options, including an associate of science degree program, with day and evening options, for those interested in becoming registered nurses, and a bachelor of science program for those with RN licenses and those without an RN seeking to advance into a management position. Mercy is a Catholic college; hence, courses such as medical ethics are from a Catholic perspective. Other classes at Mercy include pediatric nursing, lifespan psychology and mental health nursing. Mercy keeps class sizes small, resulting in a low student-to-teacher ratio.

    Galen College of Nursing

    • Galen College of Nursing has accreditation from the Council on Occupational Education, as well as from the nursing and education boards of several states. Students can pursue a certificate in practical nursing or an associate's degree as a registered nurse. Galen has campuses in Tampa, Florida, Louisville, Kentucky, Cincinnati, Ohio and San Antonio, Texas. Galen College offers small class sizes, computer centers and labs where students can work with up-to-date medical equipment.

    Chamberlain College of Nursing

    • Chamberlain College of Nursing is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission, the National League for Nursing Accreditation Commission and the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education The college offers classes both online and in person. Online courses including two master's programs in nursing, a bachelor of science degree in nursing, an online program through which registered nurses can get a bachelor's degree, an associate of nursing degree program and program that enables licensed practicing nurses to become registered nurses. Chamberlain has campuses in Arizona, Missouri, Illinois, Ohio and Florida.

    Pittsburgh Technical Institute

    • Pittsburgh Technical Institute has accreditation from the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. The school offers a certificate program for students seeking to become licensed practical nurses. PTI students study the treatment and prevention of infections, perform physical examinations and give medications to patients. The program is open to anyone interested in learning practical nursing who has a high school diploma or the equivalent.

    St. Joseph College

    • St. Joseph College is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education. Students at this Connecticut college enjoy a low student-to-teacher ratio of 8-to-1, a simulation center and a nursing laboratory. The college provides students with clinical placements at area hospitals, including Middlesex Hospital, Hartford Hospital, CCMC Medical Center and the Hospital of Central Connecticut.
