Naval Nursing Schools

The Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps (NROTC) is a multi-year program that takes place at the same time that the student attends college. The NROTC Nursing Option is available to students who pursue a state approved or National League of Nursing (NLN) approved Bachelor of Science degree in nursing. If the NRTOC student is selected for a scholoraship in nursing, he or she must major in a nursing degree program leading to BSN.

The College of Nursing offers a bachelor of science program with traditional and accelerated path options. The traditional path is a full-time option that acknowledges the need to balance schooling with other life priorities. The accelerated path is offered to students who complete the required course load for the Bachelor of Science degree and can move on to a more rigorous schedule.

    • Located in Houston, Texas, The College of Nursing at Prairie View A&M offers a four and a half year Bachelor of Science program aimed to prepare nurses for professional practice in a variety of clinical settings, as well as continued education in graduate studies, leading to a Masters of Science in Nursing. The completion of all lower division coursework must be followed by a staple of upper division courses. The College of Nursing accepts students who have applied and been accepted to the general university application process.
