As of May 2008, the Bureau of Labor Statistics reported the median annual wages of a LPN as $39,030.

    Central School of Practical Nursing

    • Central School of Practical Nursing was founded in Cleveland, Ohio in 1937, and according to its website, it is Ohio’s oldest practical nursing program, and the first of its kind within the United States. The school has clinical sites throughout the northwest region of Ohio, and is the only independent and private school program within Ohio. The LPN program at CSPN is divided into two terms of 23 weeks each, in which a students typically have two days of classroom instruction and two days of clinical experience each week. CSPN admits students twice a year, and as long as a student passes his entrance exam, he has does not have to be on a waiting list for admission into the program. As of 2010, the tuition for the program is $10,750, which covers tuition, labs and clinicals. Additional costs for uniforms and books do apply.
