Located in Cleveland, Ohio Technical College is an accredited, private postsecondary technical college that offers a range of different programs in the areas of automotive, diesel equipment, collision repair and refinishing, alternative fuel vehicles, power generator systems, classic car restoration and high performance and racing. Ohio Technical College offers on-campus housing support services, career placement services and alumni services.

The University of Northern Ohio's College of Technology offers a program in automotive technology which features courses such as engine performance, engine diagnosis and repair, suspension and repair, electrical and electronics, automotive air conditioning and refrigeration, automotive brake systems and computerized engine control systems.
Classes at the University of Northern Ohio's College of Technology are taught in six-week sessions with no more than 20 students in each technical class. Housing is available for up to 1,200 students on campus. Located close by are attractions such as the Allen County Fair Grounds, Lima Mall, the Winona Lake Swim & Tennis Club and the Allen County Museum. Located within a mile of the university are a variety of dining options including Pizza Hut, Ruby Tuesday, Harry's Hideaway, Burgundy's Restaurant and Bob Evans Restaurant in which students can walk to.
Miami-Jacobs Career College has several locations in Ohio, including Troy, Springboro and Cincinnati. The career college offers a variety of programs, including automotive technician, dental assisting, accounting, business office management, massage therapy, cosmetology and computer systems specialist. Tuition assistance is available in several forms, including federal and state grants, student loans and federal and state aid. Degrees and certificates such as degrees in applied science, applied business and diploma and certificate programs are available.
Career services are available for students that will help them develop a career portfolio, write a resume, master the art of interviewing and search for the right job. To be considered for admission, students must be interviewed by an admissions representative, be of good moral character and take a scholastic-level exam to determine academic needs and placement.
