Scholarships for Trade Schools

As a requirement, many scholarships specify that applicants must be attending a four-year university. That leaves the hundreds of thousands of trade school students out in the dust. Trade school costs money, too, and trade schools are important for providing skilled workers like electricians and plumbers. While they aren't as common, there are scholarships out there to find for trade school students.
  1. AFL-CIO Skilled Trade Scholarship

    • High school students planning to attend an accredited trade school who are participants in the work-site based program called Exploring are qualified to apply for the AFL-CIO Skilled Trade Scholarship. The applicant must be planning to study a skilled trade like masonry, concrete finishing or drywall installation.
