Sierra College offers an accredited two year nursing program. On average, Sierra College receives over 300 applicants every year. The school picks 30 applicants by random selection, as well as 10 alternate applicants in the same manner. Students who the school chooses as alternates automatically get spots in the next class if not called upon the first time through. Prior to applying to the nursing program, all of your pre-requisites must be fulfilled with a "C" grade or better. Sierra College does not require letters of recommendation since the applicants are picked by random selection. The program at Sierra College prepares students for the National Council Licensing Exam for Registered Nursing and obtaining a career in the health industry.

College of the Redwoods prepares nursing students to take the National Council Licensing Exam for Registered Nursing. Qualified applicants are chosen by random selection. The school chooses approximately 45 applicants for the fall class. If a qualified applicant is not chosen then he or she will be placed on a waiting list for the next entering class. Prior to submitting an application, all pre-requisites have to be fulfilled with a grade of "C" or better.

Shasta College offers a two year nursing degree. Shasta is an accredited college in northern California. Every year Shasta College admits 30 eligible applicants in the fall and another 30 in the spring. Qualified applicants not admitted will be placed on a waiting listed based on the date of their accepted application. If the school selects the applicant and he cannot start class, he can postpone enrollment one time and up to a year. All applicants must fulfill their pre-requisites with a 2.5 grade point average prior to submitting an application.
