Bryan College is recognized by the National Court Reporters Association and is nationally accredited by the ACICS. The school's court reporting program prepares students to take their state's court reporting licensing exam. Classes use technology to create live virtual classrooms, and students are afforded customized mentoring throughout their program. In addition to learning the skills necessary to enter a career as a stenographer, graduates will also be prepared for a career as a real-time captioner, convention reporter or hearing reporter.

The Court Reporting Institute offers an associate of applied science degree in court reporting that can be achieved online. The online program began 2006 and can be taken completed part time or full time. Part-time students are expected to be in the online classroom at least 13 hours per week, and full-time students must devote at least 26 hours to their studies. The program consists of 120 weeks of coursework, and prepares students to take the court reporter's licensing exam.

Sage College is approved by the National Court Reporters Association and is accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools. Students can earn either an associate degree or diploma in court reporting online, and all graduates who successfully pass the California state licensing exam will be afforded placement assistance. Placement assistance includes help learning interviewing skills and creating a personal portfolio, as well as assistance getting job leads and securing employment.
