The Sullivan College of Technology and Design (sctd.edu) offers students a four-year degree program in a multitude of areas of concentration. Courses such as architectural computer aided design drafting, civil computer design drafting, computer network security/forensics, computer network administration, computer graphic design, dynamic Web development, interior design, mechanical computer aided design drafting, computer engineering technology and mechanical engineering technology are each available.
Recently, the American Technical Education Association named the computer graphic design program at SCTD as its 2009 Outstanding Technical Program. The Sullivan College of Technology and Design offers its 626 students on-campus housing, but at this time no athletic programs are available.
The Brown Mackie College (brownmackie.edu/louisville) offers its students a variety of two and four-year associate and bachelor's degree programs as well as certificate and diploma programs. Day or evening classes that start each month are available to launch any new student's career in higher education. Class sizes are kept small to enable each student to receive a maximum amount of individual instructor attention. Services offered by Brown Mackie to prepare each student in the pursuit an entry-level position include tutoring by experienced and knowledgeable instructors, externships in a chosen field, training in chosen industry-related technology, software and equipment and job search assistance upon graduation.
The ITT Technical Institute (itt-tech.edu) is an institution of higher learning with six schools: the School of Information Technology, School of Drafting and Design, School of Electronics Technology, School of Business, School of Criminal Justice and School of Health Sciences. In 2011 there were 759 attending students. Most classes included in the associate and bachelor's degree programs typically range in size from 15 to 30 students.
The ATA College (ata.edu) offers its students hands-on training in programs of study such as dental assistant, medical assistant, medical coding, medical laboratory technician, medical office assistant, medical radiography, practical nursing and phlebotomy. To assist its students in obtaining a quality education, ATA offers day and evening classes, financial aid to qualified students, academic tutoring and graduate career services to help with job-search assistance upon graduation. ATA Collage is accredited by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools.
Jefferson (jefferson.kctcs.edu) is the largest of the 16 colleges that form the Kentucky Community and Technical College System. Here, students are offered a wide variety of programs to obtain an associates degree. Founded in 1892, Spencerian (spencerian.edu) is one of the oldest colleges in the region and is considered to be among the most respected private facilities. Offering programs in business and health sciences, Spencerian provides its students with flexible scheduling options of day, evening and online classes. The Louisville Spencerian College branch was named a 2009 Honor Roll Institution by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools.
Located in Louisville, Daymar Collage (daymarcollege.edu/college/louisville-east) offers students a range of comprehensive, in-demand degree programs in the most sought after fields, including business, medical, legal, computers. Career preparation programs such as college internship seminar programs, interviewing tips, and other career preparation services, are offered to assist students in obtaining employment upon graduation.
