    • Daymar Institute has a dental assisting program in Nashville with a flexible schedule. The program teaches students how to provide chair-side assistance and complete a number of laboratory related procedures, including X-rays. The dental assisting program at Daymar Institute is sponsored by the Capital City Dental Society. Graduates will be prepared to take the Tennessee State Board exams to become a registered dental assistant. Daymar Institute helps its graduates with job placement.

    Dental Staff School

    • The Dental Staff School has a dental assisting program in Franklin that can be completed in 10 weeks. Classes meet once a week, on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Some of the skills taught in the program are sterilization of instruments, preparation of dental trays and processing of dental X-ray film. Students also learn about general anatomy and legal aspects of dental assisting. The cost of the program includes all tuition, books and educational DVDs. Internships are available during the program, and job placement is offered after graduation.
