The Academy of Technology and Careers in Beckley, West Virginia, offers an LPN program with two entrance dates for matriculation--August and January. Prospective candidates must satisfactorily complete pre-admission testing at least four to five months prior to application. Student course loads require attending academic courses or clinical rotations Monday through Friday, which results in a total of 1,300 hours. Prospective applicants must satisfactorily complete the pre-admission examination in addition to attending an interview and submitting a high school diploma or GED proof of completion, references, $250 application fee, physical examination, criminal background check, immunization records and current copy of a CPR card.
