Vocational Technology Schools

Vocational technology schools, also known as career colleges or technical schools, provide specialized training aimed at preparing students for jobs. Unlike academic colleges, vocational technology schools focus on practical skills rather than theoretical knowledge, and they usually, though not always, provide certificates of completion rather than degrees. Additionally, these schools offer programs that generally take two years or less to complete, according to the U.S. Department of Education, although some schools offer four-year or advanced programs.
