The ISU College of Technology located at Terre Haute, Indiana offers 18 undergraduate and seven graduate programs, as of 2011. The degree programs are offered in areas like advanced manufacturing management, automotive engineering technology, aviation technology, computer engineering technology, electronics technology, industrial technology and mechanical engineering technology. There are more than 30 specialized instructional laboratories and, with a student professional organization for every program, students get an opportunity to meet and interact with industry professionals.
Indiana Tech was founded by John Kalbfleisch, International Business College former president, in June 1930. These days, along with adding new degree programs, Indiana Tech also implements programs to boost the professional and academic development of its students. The college offers degree programs in traditional, accelerated, online, blended and international student program formats and some of the programs offered by the college are in biomedical engineering, computer engineering, electrical engineering, digital graphics and design, mechanical engineering, network management, software engineering, web design and development. The institute is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. The programs in electrical and mechanical engineering are accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology.
Purdue University College of Technology, founded in 1869, is named after the benefactor, John Purdue. The college is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools and offers more than 200 undergraduate programs and 70 graduate degree programs. Some of the undergraduate programs are offered in aeronautical engineering technology, computer and information technology, computer graphics technology, electrical engineering technology and industrial technology. Biochemistry, chemical engineering, civil engineering, computer graphics technology, electrical, applied statistics, gerontology, oncology and computer engineering are some of the graduate and certificate programs offered by the college.
The Lincoln College of Technology, accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges, offers applied science diploma or degree programs in automotive technology, collision repair, diesel technology and electronic systems technology. The institute has partnerships with firms like AT&T, Caterpillar, Firestone, Goodyear, Indy Honda, John Deere, Pearson Ford and Pedigo Chevrolet, to name a few. This partnership helps with placement programs and student-industry interactions during the course of the academic programs.
