At the Tulsa Welding School, students can learn basic structural welding in three and a half months, master many forms of welding in seven months and obtain an associate's degree in welding technology in 14 months. Canadian Valley Technology center offers welding programs at its Chikasha and El Reno campuses. The welding program offers majors in cutting, pipe welding, structural welding and metal fabrication. The school offers the Next Step scholarship, which pays a student's full tuition. Eligible to apply for the scholarship are students under the age of 24 who have a high school diploma or equivalency and who live in an affiliated school district.

TulsaTech offers a welding technology program at its campuses in Lemley and Peoria. The welding technology program trains students in gas metal arc, gas tungsten arc, shielded metal arc and flux cored arc welding as well as oxyacetylene, plasma arc and air carbon arc cutting techniques. The program takes between one and two years to complete, with classes running for three to six hours Monday through Friday. In addition to welding, students learn allied skills such as destructive and non-destructive materials testing and math.

Oklahoma Technical College trains students for entry-level jobs in metal fabrication and welding. Classes include training in gas metal arc, shielded metal arc and gas tungsten arc welding. The college also educates students in welding-related disciplines such as blueprint reading, safety procedures and electricity. Students can earn welding technology diplomas in 32 weeks (for daytime classes) or 40 weeks (for evening classes) and they can earn associate degrees in 62 weeks (for daytime classes) or 70 weeks (for evening classes). The college hosts a career center that helps students find jobs, polish resumes and hone interview skills.
