Cardiology Tech Schools

Cardiology or cardiovascular technicians assist doctors in treating the heart and vascular system of patients. Technicians may work in invasive cardiology, which includes catheterization; noninvasive cardiology, including echocardiograms; or vascular technology, which involves the circulatory system. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the median salary for cardiovascular technologists in 2008 was $47,010. The Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs, or CAAHEP, accredits a variety of programs, including cardiovascular technology.
