Morrison Institute of Technology offers two-year engineering programs leading to associate degrees in the following fields: Computer Aided Design & Drafting, Surveying, Building Construction, Highway Construction, Soils & Materials Testing and System and Networking Administration. Located in Morrison, Illinois, west of Chicago, the school is an independent, not-for-profit institution. All classes are held during the day, on campus, and semesters begin in August and January. On-campus housing is available.

ITT Technical Institute operates three campuses near Chicago: Oak Brook, Mount Prospect and Orland Park. Each offers associate degrees in either information technology, electronics technology, and drafting and design. The courses are presented in a classroom format, with lab study an integral part of the teaching process. Classes are offered year round, with the choice of attending morning, afternoon or evening sessions.
Westwood College has four locations in Illinois, including two Chicago campuses and one each in Calumet City and Woodridge. Associate degrees are offered in Internet technology engineering through its School of Technology and architectural drafting and engineering in the School of Design. The school provides IT majors with a free Cisco exam review session and covers the exam fee for graduates.
