Trade Schools for Engineering

Students who want to enter a career in various fields of engineering will have plenty of options to choose from. There are many trade schools all over the United States that offer degrees in engineering, whether it's the common fields of computer engineering or electrical engineering or the more evolving fields of environmental engineering. These schools will provide a student with many opportunities to enter the engineering fields with the skills and knowledge necessary to have a successful career.
  1. Southern United States

    • ATI Career Training Center offers an occupational associate degree program in Electronic Engineering Technology where students learn about the fields of digital electronics, computer operations, telecommunications, and the principles of electricity and electronics and computer service. The program is available in its two Fort Lauderdale campuses in Cypress Creek and Oakland Park. It has received accreditation from the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC) as well as by the Florida Department of Education, Commission for Independent Education. Another college in the southern United States is Sullivan College of Technology and Design in Louisville, Kentucky. It offers an associate's degree in computer engineering technology and mechanical engineering technology (robotics). Graduates of the Computer Engineering Technology program can enter careers as hardware support analysts, digital systems specialists and field service technicians. Mechanical Engineering Technology program graduates can enjoy careers in robotics manufacturing and research, design engineering and senior automation specialist.

    Midwestern United States

    • The Milwaukee School of Engineering in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, offers undergraduate and graduate programs such as architectural engineering, biomolecular engineering, industrial engineering and mechanical engineering, as well as a variety of short certificate programs such as software engineering process improvement. It is located on a 15-acre campus with modern facilities and has accreditation from the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. Another college in the Midwest is Michigan Engineering, the engineering branch of the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
