Princeton Community Television is a nontraditional vocational school. It offers a variety of classes for people interested in learning about filmmaking and digital media. Princeton Community Television offers classes that are based upon the needs of its members. Members of Princeton Community Television can take most classes at no charge, while nonmembers are generally charged fees of $20 per class. Typical class topics include Lighting 101, Camera Basics and Introduction to Documentary Filmmaking.
Mercer Community College, which has campuses in nearby West Windsor and Trenton, offers a total of 70 degree programs as well as 28 programs in which credit certificates are granted. Some certificate programs can be completed by full-time students in one year, while some programs that are available only in the evening may take three years for completion. Credit certificate programs include administrative support, architectural technology, aviation flight technology, computer-aided design, fire science technology, medical office assistant and solar/energy technology.
Mercer County Technical School in Trenton has an adult evening program that offers technical and apprentice training opportunities. These programs provide entry-level training or training for career changes or new employment, enable students to upgrade their current skill levels or acquaint them with recent changes and the latest occupational techniques. The adult evening school has five programs: trade and industrial, apprenticeship training, technical education, computer training and personal enrichment/avocational.
Harris School of Business, which has a campus in nearby Trenton and several other New Jersey cities, offers courses and programs in career-focused educational areas. The programs offered at the Harris School of Business location in Trenton are professional medical assistant, massage therapy, health claims specialist, legal office technology and computerized accounting technology. The Trenton campus is accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools.
