Tulsa Tech is the oldest technology center in the state. It has programs at 10 campuses across the state. Currently, there are 13 career areas with numerous programs available including finance, manufacturing, health science, transportation, distribution and logistics and architecture and construction. Online courses are available, as well. Costs of tuition vary by program and financial aid is available through the Financial Assistance office.
Twenty-four programs are currently offered at Mid-America Technology Center. This school is located in Wayne, and has full-time, short-term and business and industry services available. Some of the full-time programs available are carpentry, licensed practical nursing, full-charge bookkeeping and cosmetology. Short-term programs include classes in construction, agriculture, health science and arts. Tuition is free for secondary students and those under the age of 22 who live in the school district. Students living outside of the district are charged $5,336 per year, as of January, 2011.
Canadian Valley Technology Center has campus locations in El Reno, Yukon, Chickasha and Tuttle. Full-time programs include cosmetology, construction, science and mathematics, and computer programming. It offers short-term learning courses in subjects like meal planning, Tonga, technology and basic home repair. Business and industry services are available to help businesses increase their growth, profits and productivity. Customized industry training is even available. Tuition varies by program but you can get all the enrollment information by contacting the school.
Great Plains Technology Center is located in Lawton, and offers full-time courses as well as short-term courses. Full-time majors include CAD drafting, carpentry, electrician's assistant, digital photography, medical insurance coding, accounting, occupational therapy aide and culinary arts assistant. Short-term courses can teach you to master Facebook, cooking, painting, dance and more. To get started at this school, you will need to fill out an application and complete the required assessments.
