  1. Study in Paris

    • International Studies Abroad offers a summer program in Paris combining fine arts and language study. The program is a five-week experience and provides art classes taught in English with alternative French language courses available but not required. Students must be 18 years of age or older to participate. A number of options are available for housing accommodations and course combinations. Art courses are held throughout Paris, while language courses are held at the Catholic University of Paris.

    European Programs

    • The School of Visual Arts provides summer arts programs abroad for students 18 or older, returning students and professionals seeking instruction. Courses and locations include painting in Barcelona, art history in southern France, digital photography in Florence, art therapy in Provence and masters workshops pertaining to design history, theory and practice held in Rome and Venice. Some programs may require a portfolio or prerequisite courses. All courses are taught in English, housing is provided, and dates and length of stay may vary with each course.

    Metafora In Barcelona

    • Metafora is an art university located in Barcelona and focused on contemporary studio art and art therapy. Summer intensive courses are offered during the month of July only. Students can choose between studio courses or art therapy courses. Art making and study is combined with daily seminars on theory. Students and faculty arrive from all over the world for an intense month of collective experience. Included in Metafora's location are photography facilities (studio and darkroom), welding and workshop tools, and a screen printing area. Students must purchase their own art materials. The school does not provide housing. Students must be at least 19 years of age. Older students are encouraged to apply. Summer courses are taught in English and Spanish.
