The Best European MBA Programs

Students with an interest in global economics and international business can study at top-ranked business schools in Europe. Public and private European institutions rank among the best business schools in the world, according to Bloomberg Businessweek rankings. The top Master of Business Administration programs offer exchange programs with leading schools in the United States, Asia and the Middle East.
  1. IE Business School

    • Spain's IE Business School, a private institution in central Madrid, is the number two international business school according to 2009 "Bloomberg Businessweek" rankings of MBA programs overseas. The school enrolls nearly 2,000 students at its urban campus. Students can study for the MBA full or part-time. There is also an executive MBA and Ph.D. program. A satellite campus is located in the city of Segovia. MBA students can specialize in accounting, electronic commerce, finance, human resources, marketing, international management or technology. A joint MBA/Juris Doctor is offered in conjunction with IE's law school. Classes are taught in English. The majority of students are from countries in Latin America and the Caribbean. The Graduate Management Admission Test is not required for admission.

    Insead

    • Insead is a private business school based in Fontainebleau, France, with campuses and research centers in Abu Dhabi, Singapore and Tel-Aviv. The school ranks third on the 2009 "Bloomberg Businessweek" rankings of international MBA programs. There are approximately 1,000 students enrolled at Insead. The MBA program is on an accelerated schedule and can be completed in 10 months.

      In addition to the MBA, the school has Executive MBA and Ph.D. degree options. Insead also has an exchange program with the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Applicants are required to submit a GMAT score.

    London Business School

    • The London Business School is number four on the 2009 "Bloomberg Businessweek" rankings of international MBA programs. The school is located in central London next to the famous Regent's Park. In addition to the MBA, the public institution offers nine programs including an Excecutive MBA, a Master in Finance and a Ph.D. program.

      Business executives can also enroll in the school's Dubai-London program. MBA students can participate in an exchange program with Columbia University in New York City. More than 1,800 students attend LBS. The GMAT is required for admission.
