Global master of business administration programs focus on global business and international commerce. While most MBA programs have some type of global emphasis built into the curriculum, some of the leading programs in the world have developed global MBA programs that are not part of the traditional MBA program. The programs offer opportunities to study and network abroad and also maintain a curriculum for the international aspects of business.

    • The London School of Business was ranked No. 1 in the world for its global MBA program in 2010, according to "Financial Times."       London Business School offers an executive global MBA program that is the best in the field. Students have the opportunity to study abroad in one of two areas of the world. Students can focus their studies on commerce in the Europe/North America sphere of business or they can focus on the Asian business sphere. The school works with Columbia University in New York to offer students the opportunity to study at two world-class institutions. The Wharton School offers international opportunities and focus for undergraduate and graduate students.     • Harvard's Business School was recognized as a top global MBA program by "Financial Times" in 2010. The publication ranked Harvard No. 3 on its global MBA rankings list for 2010. What sets Harvard apart from other global MBA programs is the degree to which it global focus is embedded within the rest of the MBA program. Harvard has added a "global initiative" to its MBA program, but much of the program has an international focus. Like other top global programs, Harvard allows students to study in other countries such as China, Vietnam, the United Arab Emirates and Rwanda. Courses with an international focus include analyzing financial aspects of the global market, the energy of business and geopolitics and entrepreneurship and global capitalism.
