The highest rated business school in the U.K., according to the "Business Week" rankings was the London Business School (LBS). Of the three schools, LBS is the one with the least-storied academic tradition. Established comparatively recently in 1964, LSB has risen to prominence as the top business program in the nation. This top ranking was confirmed by "Financial Times," which placed LSB at the top of its list of business schools worldwide (most rankings list place U.S. schools ahead of any non-U.S. programs). The school offers various MBA degree options. Students can pursue the more traditional two-year MBA program or, if qualified, the Executive MBA (EMBA) program, a degree designed for those in management with multiple years of experience. In addition to these programs, LSB offers an internationally focused London-Dubai EMBA program. Joint degree options are also offered. Students can pursue a Master of Finance degree, Master of Management, Master of Leadership and Strategy or a Ph.D. Areas of specialization offered by the LSB program include business ethics, decision and risk analysis, finance, operations and technology management and managerial economics.

As one of the most prominent universities in the world with a history stretching back to the late middle ages, it should come as no surprise that Oxford offers one of the best graduate business programs in the U.K. In fact, Oxford is world-renowned for its graduate studies in various disciplines such as medicine, law and engineering. Its Said School of Business was ranked No. 10 among all non-U.S. MBA programs by "Business Week." According to "Financial Times," the Oxford program ranked No. 16 in the world, tied with America's Yale University. Oxford is famous for its research in the fields of marketing, accounting, finance, management science, organizational behavior, science and technology studies, operations management; and strategy, entrepreneurship and international business. The MBA program at Oxford stresses interdisciplinary study and encourages students to pursue additional studies in fields such as law and psychology. MBA programs offered are both the full-time two year MBA and the EMBA. Master of Science degrees are also offered in the fields of major program management and financial economics. A Ph.D. is offered as well.

Although ranked as a "second-tier" program by "Business Week," the University of Cambridge was ranked No. 21 in the world by "Financial Times" for its Judge Business School MBA program. In reality, the "second-tier" rating for "Business Week" simply refers to a school not rated in the top-10 among non-U.S. schools, but still highly respected among all MBA programs worldwide. Like the programs at Oxford and LBS, Cambridge offers both the executive and traditional MBA degrees. Various other master's degree programs are also offered in fields such as finance. Research degrees conferred include the master of philosophy (M.Phil.) and the Ph.D. Specializations offered at Cambridge include international business, finance, organizational analysis, management and business economics and information systems.
