The Best MBA Distance Programs

Working professionals who want to earn a Master of Business Administration but are not able to attend school full-time can apply to distance learning degree programs. Earning an MBA online gives students the flexibility to schedule classes around work and family obligations. In 2010, "The Economist" magazine published a survey of outstanding online MBA programs that included three schools in the United States.
  1. University of Florida, Hough Graduate School of Business

    • The University of Florida's Hough Graduate School of Business online MBA was one of the first to be offered by an accredited business school. The program received accolades from the "The Economist" magazine in the 2010 "Which MBA?" distance learning special supplement. UF was the only school in the United States to receive an "excellent". The school offers two tracks. There is a two-year program with a 27-month curriculum and a one-year track for students who can make five weekend visits at the end of each semester. Eligibility requirements are selective and are on par with those of the traditional MBA program. Students must have two years of work experience, submit GMAT scores, have a minimum 3.3 GPA, complete an interview and write essays.
