    • 1

Visit reliable online college directories such as BizDegrees or Top Online Colleges to browse through listings. Peterson's, or U.S. News & World Report Best Colleges are excellent sources for ratings and rankings for business colleges and technical schools that offer marketing MBA degrees.

    • 2

Create a list of as many schools as you find interesting.

    • 3

Check accreditation status, especially if you find a school you are not familiar with. You can find a list of accrediting agencies on the official United States Department of Education website.

    • 4

Look for accreditation by one of the top accrediting agencies for business schools and programs. They include The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), The Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP), The Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) and The Distance Education and Training Council (DETC).

    • 5

Check also for regional accreditation. Those agencies are recognized by the United States Department of Education as well. These include the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools, New England Association of Schools and Colleges, North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities, Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.

    • 6

Check admission requirements. A solid marketing MBA program will require a completed admissions application, official test scores, official transcripts, an application essay, several letters of recommendation, and an application fee.

    • 7

Check the curriculum. A solid program should require successful completion of courses such as accounting principles and management concepts, management essentials, marketing principles, principles of macroeconomics and microeconomics, business systems, legal environment of business, strategic management, issues with management, business finance, consumer behavior, E-Marketing fundamentals, advertising and promotion, managing technology for business, and ethical decision-making in business.
