At Minnesota State University, the alumni, faculty and administration of the School of Nursing have all contributed funds to a scholarship that will be awarded to an accelerated nursing student. To be eligible for the award, the student must be enrolled full time in an Accelerated Nursing Program in the School of Nursing, have a 3.3 grade point average, and be in need of financial assistance.
Interested parties can apply on the School of Nursing scholarship site: http://ahn.mnsu.edu/nursing/scholarships/undergraduate/scholarshiplist.html.
The William Randolph Hearst Endowed Scholarship for Accelerated Nursing was established at the University of Missouri for accelerated nursing students in the MU Sinclair School of Nursing. The scholarship program was developed with the intent of providing tuition and fee assistance to students who have bachelor's degrees in other fields but would like to change careers to nursing. Nursing students do not have to apply for this scholarship program individually but should apply for scholarships in their major and by having a completed Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) on file.
