The University of La Verne has a Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) degree program in clinical/community psychology. This program is designed for completion after five years of study; four of the five years must be completed in residence. The clinical internship is completed during the fifth year, and students have the option of completing this requirement in one year on a full-time schedule or in two years on a part-time schedule. After the students’ second year of study, they will receive a master of science degree in psychology and proceed to pursuing their doctoral degree.
