Curry College's residential property management certificate program prepares students for management positions at the entry-level of managing multi-family residential properties. Classes in this program are offered on a part-time schedule in the evenings and can be completed in one year of study. Students enroll in one or two courses per eight-week term and choose from three specialization areas: traditional apartments, senior housing or public and subsidized housing. Students are required to complete eight courses before earning their certificate.

Drexel University's residential property management certificate program serves students who have completed at least one year of college course work and who have at least two years of work experience. Students in this program must complete six courses to obtain their certificates. The two required courses are introduction to property management and marketing and leasing residential property. Students choose four elective courses out of five choices: managing and marketing retail property, affordable housing management, managing and marketing housing for an aging population, military housing management and student housing management.

New York University offers a certificate in property management program that teaches students the skills and knowledge that is essential to bottom-line success in relation to real estate ownership and investment. The program includes courses that cover topics in both commercial and residential real estate. Students take courses that include managing building systems and maintenance, commercial leases and managing interior construction projects. Students must complete six courses to earn their certificate. Two courses are required and the remaining four are elective courses.

In this program, students build a solid foundation of skills and knowledge for personal property management. Students must complete seven courses in order to earn their certificate of completion. Students take four required courses: applications in personal property accountability, property management for custodial officers, property accountability, and warehousing, operations and disposal. Students are also required to take three elective courses, choosing one each from the categories of writing skills, acquisition, and program and management analysis.
