Like the University of Washington clinical psychology program, the graduate program at Wisconsin-Madison is also mentor-based. Applicants are admitted into the graduate program depending on how closely their interests and qualifications match the current faculty interests and qualifications, and areas of specialty. According to the department at the university, a student who is not deeply committed to research will not be a good match for this graduate program.
