Alabama Southern Community College has two campuses and provides associate and certificate programs in a variety of vocational fields, like engineering technology, construction, cosmetology, and paper and chemical technology. In addition to taking courses in traditional classrooms, students have the option of enrolling in distance-learning courses. The Nursing and Allied Health department offers a variety of “nursing upward mobility” courses for students who wish to become registered nurses. LPNs who have completed their training within the last two years are eligible to enroll in the RN fast track program. Graduates from the program have one of the highest licensure examination passing rates in Alabama.
